Jakarta Provincial Government along with Greater Jakarta Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) has prepared strategic steps to overcome the capital's transportation problems.

"So we do review, from BPTJ also prepares items that need attention. There are several things that we then discuss deeply," expressed Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, Wednesday (11/8).

He delivered, in the meeting, traffic jam problem is one of the main points discussed with BPTJ.

To handle it, according to him, there must be an increase in the quality of human resources as a mass transit operator owned by the city.

"We also talked about the concept of Transit Oriented Development (TOD). What we want is really TOD built and must be the same," he stressed.

At the same location, BPTJ Head, Bambang Prihartono uttered, the master plan compiled with the Governor is to map the rough target of transportation macro in Greater Jakarta for the next five years.

"Among these are we will build transportation thus people can get the destination less than 1.5 hours. Then the average minimum speed is 30 kilometers per hour," he closed.
